LawyerUpwards.com is a website that is a resource for the regular Joe or Josette to find a lawyer specializing in whatever Joe or Josette needs one for. The website has over 150,000 lawyers and law firms listed with the name of the firm, address and phone number. Other than that, it does have a few articles - a summary of the day's popular legal news (think Casey ANthony, Lance Armstrong and other "celebrity" cases. As far as a directory, it's fine. It has the basic contact infomation and an interactive map. What it doesn't have are ratings and reviews. But how useful are open-ended ratings and reviews. The criticism from business owners targeted byan errant bad review is that there are no controls for identifying the source of the rating or review. Website owners, on the other hand, do not want to feel compelled to reveal the identities of their reviewers as their reviews contribute to how highloy a site ranks. Also, if reviewers felt "outed" or in any way compromised by their review this would send a chill to the review community. Open-ended anonymous reviews are considered protected speech. There was a case against the website avvo.com for a posting of a negative review. Avvo eventually won the case, which also brought the site a lot of publicity and led to their continued success. There is also this answer on their website regarding negative reviews saying "statements of opinion are constitutionally protected speech". Adding reviews would be my suggestion to the folks at LawyerUpwards.com . They could add necessary User Generated Content (UGC) that would contribute to their rankings in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). Good luck to the folks at LawyerUpwards. It's still a very young site - we'll keep an eye on this site and see how it develops. |

So I was a webmaster for many years, and try to keep my hand in on a few sites: I have something like 20 sites I have created, many make a steady stream of cash for me. I like making money this way because it is an intense outlay of time, and then - nothing. I just collect money as it comes in. I do this through affiliate marketing, basically advertising for other companies through cj.com, clickbank.com, and ebay, among others. For instance, the TeakOutdoorFurniture.net site is almost a pure affiliate site. I had a friend do the copy and then added an rss feed of the different ebay auctions regarding Teak Outdoor Furniture. When a person buys one of the items I get a commission through CJ, or Commission Junction. My ZenAffiliate.com site is kind of my central affiliate "how to" site, mostly for promoting CashCrate and XSVCash. I've kind of moved away from that, but if you need to make a quick beer money you can do a couple online surveys for a dollar a pop and easily get a check on the 15th of the month. But, like I said, I'm moving away from actively promoting this one. But the beauty of it is that it chugs along after the initial push with more people signing up and money coming in through their efforts (and barely any of mine). The suprise for me was Teak Outdoor Furniture. I created it a long time ago - more than a year ago, and kind of forgotten it. But then I kept seeing a trickling in of deposits to my Paypal account - not a lot, but I never really fully optimized this for search engines, so that it was getting any traffic at all was a big suprise - and that it made money was a pleasant one. I think the average was $26/month. Not a lot, but I didn't have unique content or anything on it. I have recently added new content to the site and SEOed it to see if I can raise the monthly output. Considering it costs me very little at this point to launch a new site, just think if I had a hundred sites like that pumping out cash every month. Hopefully with my SEO and new content it will rise to $100/month. That would be great! At first I was using Pay Per Click, paying upwards of 10 cents a click to get placement, but now that I understand SEO better, I am trying the natural route. My next venture is a Hello Kitty affiliate site. I did a test PPC campaign and the clickthrus went through the roof! Hello Kitty collectors are pretty rabid. I am going to see if I can SEO this site as well and see how it does. I don't want to put all my eggs in one (affiliate marketing) basket, though. Google and the other search engines are cracking down on affiliate only sites, so I foresee it being harder and harder to make money doing this. Luckily, I have other things going on such as web hosting and my SEO gig. Anyway, I always think that it's a good idea to have multiple streams of income. In these days of internet income, why wouldn't you? |

CashCrate is a great way to make money online. I still use it and have built up a referral base that makes me money every month. I think CashCrate is a great site but I think I've found a site that has the possibility of making you more money. - XSVCash or "Excessive Cash" dot com has a better referral bonus structure
- XSVCash has one of the best referral bonuses around. See below.
-Earn a $1 Bonus when your referral completes their 1st offer. -Reach a milestone of 25 1st level referrals that complete at least 1 offer and receive a 1 time bonus of $10. -Reach a milestone of 50 1st level referrals that complete at least 1 offer and receive a 1 time bonus of $20. -Reach a milestone of 100 1st level referrals that complete at least 1 offer and receive a 1 time bonus of $30. -After reaching 100 referrals, for every set of 25 1st level referrals that complete at least 1 offer, receive a 1 time bonus of $20.
- Other payouts include:
-Higher paying offers -5 referral levels instead of 2 on CashCrate -$1 referral bonus that CashCrate no longer has. -Milestone Bonuses for reaching certain number of referrals. -Payouts via paypal which cashcrate no longer has. -All offers at XSVCash are 100%FREE. No credit card offers, trials, or cell submits. This way you don't have to deal with offers asking for a credit card number. This also retains referrals longer since they won't run into offers that aren't 100% free. With XSVCash all the offers are 100% FREE, a higher percentage of my referrals complete offers and stay active because of this. This of course results in more commissions and bonuses. Join XSVCash I Highly recommend XSVCash |

"XSVCash" is a good way to make money online. It is similar to CashCrate and other websites that pay you for taking surveys, downloading and trying software and providing personal information. Pronounced "Excessive Cash" it is indeed a way to make some good money online. The way it works is Advertisers need ways to expose their products to the public. By offering surveys they are able to advertise their campaigns and get information from the public directly. Unlike a billboard on a highway, they are able to get measurable information from consumers and will gladly pay for that information. It is free to fill out surveys. Payments range from $1-$20. You also get a $3 bonus simply for signing up. The way to do this is: - Click here to register on XSVCash.
- Choose an offer to complete.
- Complete the offer with the requirement stated on the offer. If it says complete a survey, then fill it out completely. If it says "sign up with valid information" then do so.
- After completing the offer, click the "Done" button.
- XSVCash will then verify that you comppleted the offer. Once that is done you will be paid via Paypal. If you do not want to be paid by Paypal, then send the administrators a request to be paid via check.
That's it! You've made some real money! They pay monthly, so if you start now you can expect a check from XSVCash next month! Some things to note: - You will get $3 simply for signing up.
- There is a referral bonus, meaning you will receive a percentage of what the people you sign-up make. Don't worry, they won't receive less because of that. XSVCash pays your percentage on top of what your referral makes.
- Most offers are for the US, but there are some offers for people in the UK, with more international offers planned.
- You can still join if you are from another country. The referral bonus is a way for people from other countries to make money - simply by referring US users to signup.
- $15 is th eminimum payout that you must reach before XSV Cash will pay out. If you do not reach that limit the amount will rollover till next month.
- You refer people through your referral link. You will receive that once you sign up for an XSVCash account. For instance, my referral link is: http://xsvcash.com/cgi-bin/gpte.cgi?page=index&referrer=wangzen
- There are 5 levels of referral percentages: 20% - 10% - 5% - 3% - 1%. This means that you make 20% from the people YOU refer, and 10% from their referrals, then 5% from their referrals referrals - and so on down to 1% at the fifth level. This is one of the factors that makes XSVCash one of the best ways to make money online. It is residual income, and eventually you can make good money not just by your own efforts, but from the efforts of others. I highly recommend XSVCash .
Who this is great for: - Stay at home moms
- Stay at home dads
- Anyone who wants to build a viable business of making money online that is free to join, and requires only a little effort.
